Oh, hi! I've been meaning to make a metal blog of my own for a long time (after being inspired by my friend H.'s blog BlackMetallurgy) and I was reminded of it after another night of napping all evening and messing up my sleep schedule. So... here it is! I don't promise anything fancy or mind-shattering, as in-depth analyses of music isn't really my gig, but I can promise lots of blabbering about things I think are awesome and attempt to convince you that they're awesome, too (through the use of hyperbole and youtube).

As you can probably guess by the title, I like folk and black metal best, so that's probably what you'll find on here most. I do enjoy most kinds of metal to some degree (though ___-core is a flat-out no, and power metal usually hits too far on my cheese scale), so other things will worm there way on here too, assuming I keep updating this thing in a reasonable manner. I try to go to shows when I can (which is hard as a broke college student) and will blabber about those as they come up. I also have a goal to become familiar with every bad playing the main stages at MDF this year, so you can join me on my journey to listen to things I probably wouldn't have ever touched otherwise.
